As a leading manufacturer of drive, conveyor and engineered class chains, Tsubaki has earned a reputation for providing strong and reliable products. Its Titan Series Chain is no exception. This innovative addition to the company’s lineup integrates the latest advancements from Tsubaki’s research and development, resulting in a powerful chain with increased wear life, particularly in high-speed and harsh environments.

Titan features

The Titan chain has the best features of Tsubaki’s standard ASME/ANSI chain, but it also incorporates new and unique features that have outperformed competing extended life chains in tests.

For example, Titan’s surface is harder, and it utilizes special coated pins, which lowers friction and limits the wear between the pin and bushing area. This results in a robust performance, even in high debris environments. The chain’s zinc-coated pin link plates and black oxide roller link plates offer an additional layer of protection for corrosion resistance.

In addition, Titan features Tsubaki’s patented PerforMax solid lube groove bushings, available in sizes 80 to 140. These bushings are cold formed from a solid piece of steel to provide seamless construction. The solid construction and round shape of the bushings mean better surface contact between the pin and bushing, while lube grooves on the bushing’s inner surface helps to retain oil at the point of contact. These features further increase the chain’s wear life.

During manufacturing, Tsubaki uses its patented ring-coining process to increase the fatigue strength and durability of the connecting links. This unique process causes positive compressive stresses around the pitch holes to counteract shock loads.

When combined, all of these best-in-class features result is a chain that offers ultimate strength, high performance and extended wear life.

Additional details

Titan Series Chains are available in a variety of options to best suit a range of drive chain applications. The options include single and multi-strand types, in sizes 35 to 240. The chains are made to order.
