Three kinds of protective plugs are available from MOCAP’s lineup

MOCAP's inventory includes many types of plugs.

MOCAP offers a portfolio of industrial protection products unmatched by any other manufacturer in North America. Caps, grips, masking products, pipe and flange protection – MOCAP has no shortage of them. Another major product offering from the company is three types of protective plugs. MOCAP makes several families of dip-moulded vinyl plastic plugs, injection-moulded plastic plugs, and rubber-moulded plugs to suit all of a customer’s protection, masking, or finishing needs.

For assembly, conversion, or shipping

This wide selection of plugs ranges from injection-moulded, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plug caps, sheet-metal plugs and tube-end plugs through vinyl dip-moulded shipping plugs and high-temperature masking plugs to EPDM and silicone rubber masking plugs. All are perfect for product protection during assembly, conversion, or shipping applications. MOCAP recommends its protective plugs for masking against debris, painting, spraying, or powder coating. Users can also add a finished quality appearance to sheet-metal or tubing components of products with these units.

The three basic groups of protective plugs available from MOCAP:

• Friction fit plugs. Designed to protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, and damage during production, shipping, or storage. Examples include general-purpose plugs, sheet-metal hold plugs, tube plugs, tapered plugs for tubing, barrel plugs, and flexible vinyl plugs.
• Tapered plugs. This lineup includes tapered plug caps, wide-flange plug caps (including thick and extra-thick), centre pull plugs, paper tapered plugs, EPDM tapered plugs, and silicone tapered plugs.
• Threaded plugs. Sixteen models of red plugs, all manufactured in an assortment of styles and materials and designed to fit a broad range of standard and metric threads and different kinds of threaded ports, fittings, and assemblies. Examples include general-purpose, sealing, hex-socket, square-head, universal, and push-in plugs.

MOCAP’s polyethylene injection-moulded plugs come in hundreds of sizes, shapes, and designs stocked and ready to ship. Vinyl dip-moulded plastic plugs come in standard flexible PVC material for shipping and protection, with high-temperature models for masking. EPDM and silicone rubber plugs suit paint, powder-coating, and spray-masking applications, including tapered plugs, washer plugs, and pull plugs.
