Threaded plugs from Daemar protect threads from moisture, other damage

Daemar supplies three series of threaded plugs for different uses.

Daemar Inc. is the great Canadian source of essential components for industry – including threaded plugs. These units offer protection to fabricated threads, flared and flareless fittings, SAE O-ring ports, NPT pipe fittings, and tube ends. They protect internal threads from moisture, corrosion, contamination, and other kinds of damage.

Popular in the machine-building, automotive, masking, and hose/hydraulics sectors, these threaded plugs also reduce oil or liquid leaks in low-pressure testing.

Designed for many thread configurations

To meet the needs of various work environments, threaded plugs are available in a range of materials, styles, colours, and sizes. They are designed to work with a variety of thread configurations, such as straight, NPT, metric, and BSP. Users can install them easily on components to offer instant, effective protection.

Three series of threaded plugs are available from Daemar: the RPO-M, PD, and TPN series. The RPO-M line provides dual seals on ISO liquid power-system metric ports. An integral O-ring-style bead seats snugly into the bevel of the threaded opening to stop oil or fluid leaks, and a 12-point head enables tightening with a wrench or socket.

Extremely easy to use and fully interchangeable with standard ISO metric ports, the RPO-M series is frequently used in the aerospace, agriculture, mining, marine, elevator, amusement-park, air-conditioning, and fuel industries.

The PD plugs are intended for use on flared JIC fittings and are knurled for easier application. They seal low pressure requirements with light finger tightening. Available in LPDE and HDPE and in a wide range of sizes, these versatile units are popular in fluid-power industries to seal hydraulic fittings; they can also seal 37-degree flare fittings without gaskets. The PD line is also recommended for military fuel-delivery applications, sealing unused hoses and pipes in plumbing, and aerospace fluid systems.

Perfect for low-pressure testing and in-house handling, the TPN series has a square head design that allows simple installation and fits NPT threads. It protects threaded ports from damage and resists oil and high temperatures. Among the industries that use these plugs are power plants, oil and gas, chemicals, general manufacturing, and shipping.
