ProLine t-mass flow meters fit perfectly: They are available as inline (t-mass F) and insertion version (t-mass I)

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. offers a new generation of thermal flow meters: the ProLine t-mass F/I 300/500 series, which raise the bar for flow-meter technology. These instruments provide advantages such as bi-directional measurement and reverse flow direction. They have the same high accuracy and exceptional durability that other Endress+Hauser flow meters have, but they also open up new possibilities for process control, quantity measurement, leak detection, cost allocation, and energy management.

Inline and insertion models

A wide range of process industries use thermal flow meters for pure gases and gas mixtures. Endress+Hauser recommends them for the following common applications: measuring flare stack and flue gases in HVAC; monitoring air, oxygen, nitrogen, or argon in utilities; and for consumption of natural gas or carbon-dioxide measurement in the food-processing sector.

Each of these units comes with a gas engine as standard, with 22 gases from which to choose and corresponding gas mixtures with up to eight components. Uses get such advantages from this software model as precise measurement of pure gases and gas mixtures and the ability to calculate additional process variables like flow velocity, reference density, corrected volume, and energy flow. The ProLine t-mass F/I 300/500 group includes an inline model for pipes from DN 15 to 100 and an insertion model for pipes and ducts from DN 80 to 1500. Both versions offer dynamic correction for pressure, temperature, and gas-composition changes, plus the ability to alter programmed gases without re-calibration.

These ProLine advanced t-mass thermal flow meters have a measuring accuracy of plus/minus one per cent, repeatability of plus/minus 0.25 per cent. and turn-down of up to 1,000 to one, for temperatures as high as 180 degrees Celsius and pressures of up to 40 bar. The series meets the SIL standard and has Heartbeat Technology for diagnostics, monitoring, and device verification with no process interruption to ensure high operational safety.

The devices have a robust, low-maintenance design and allow comprehensive process control with unique monitoring and alarm functions to detect condensate, pulsating flow, flow direction, or reverse flow. All of the wetted components are made from corrosion-resistant steel. Various transmitters are available.
