interchangeable circumferential piston pumps

York Fluid Controls offers the Q-Pumps QP series.

York Fluid Controls offers many products by Q-Pumps, including the QP series of interchangeable circumferential piston pumps. What sets these pumps apart is that they are 100 per cent dimensionally and hydraulically interchangeable with other brands in the market. In addition, each pump is supplied with a 304 stainless steel gearbox, but without increasing the overall price. They are particularly interchangeable with the Waukesha U1, U2, and U3 brands.

Flexibility for four mounting positions

These Q-Pumps units are both 3-A- and EHEDG-certified, and they have gearboxes made of stainless steel, which make them more resistant to damage than conventional cast-iron gearboxes are. Other features of the QP series include 304 stainless steel seals, helical gears, grease fittings on both sides, solid 17-4 pH stainless steel shafts, antimicrobial lubricant, non-galling alloy 88 rotors, six threaded oil plugs with glass peepholes, self-cleaning packages in the plugs, and flexibility for four mounting positions.

Each of these interchangeable circumferential piston pumps is capable of a pressure of 500 pounds per square inch, a capacity of 1,173 litres per minute, and a viscosity of 1,000,000 counts per second. They can also handle temperatures of up to 150 degrees Celsius.

Three models of the QP series are available in Canada through York Fluid Controls. The QP1+ pump represents overall improvements to the QP line, to facilitate maintenance and save time and money. These interchangeable circumferential piston pumps are designed with O-rings on their fronts; these O-rings can be changed without having to disconnect the pump from the system. The sleeve in one piece seals the pump when the user removes the rotors for cleaning in place. With fewer parts, users get easier maintenance and minimal downtime, for higher savings.

The QP2 model has a stainless steel gear case that enables CIP-ability with enclosed rotor nuts. This pump can handle high pressures with its large, 17-4ph stainless steel shafts. These pumps are also designed for cleaning in place. The newest model, the QP3, has a new rotor case design for high efficiency and a patented front-loading seal for easy maintenance.
