This innovative model is especially powerful for all kinds of pasta-manufacturing operations. Whether the customer requires long, short, or special pasta, this device can handle it gently and feed it to packaging lines efficiently.

These conveyors by piab are also useful for conveying semolina, flour, and other ingredients at different stages of the pasta production process, minimizing product loss.

Straightforward, dependable vacuum conveyor

The piFLOW®f is the manufacturer’s most successful vacuum conveyor in the food-processing sector, acclaimed for its compliance with food standards, ease of cleaning, and high energy efficiency. Available in Canada from Firing Industries, this conveyor replaces manual handling or mechanical conveyors, like screw conveyors or bucket elevators, to ensure a safer, more ergonomic, and dust-free working environment, which is essential for pasta processing.

The conveyor typically handles a broad range of powders and granules, including salt, flour, granulated or icing sugar, coffee, tea, protein powder, oats, paprika powder, cocoa, dried goods, lentils, rice, seeds, spices, bread crumbs, cheese powder, rice crisps, chickpeas, birdseed, pet food, fish oil capsules, and dried fruits.

The manufacturer has conducted many tests related to various food applications with the piFLOW®f. The test results are part of the piab knowledge base, so feasibility checks are provided within a very low timeframe for most requests. The standard model is a straightforward, dependable vacuum conveyor, while the Batch Volume Optimization version has a level sensor that facilitates batch-volume setup, resulting in a shorter amount of conveyor setup during material changeover; this secures a higher level of operational safety by reducing the probability of human error.

The piFLOW®f range includes models with batch volumes of six, eight, 14, or 28 litres, able to convey as much as 7½ tons per hour. piab designs them with stainless steel bodies, and all components in contact with conveyed material meet international safety and hygiene standards. ATEX dust certification is also available, depending on the configuration, with two automation levels.
