Thermo-Kinetics Measurement & Control Ltd. manufactures and distributes a broad selection of industrial solutions, including instruments by Honeywell Process Solutions. Honeywell produces the Versatilis, the next-generation smart and flexible solution for configuring, calibrating, monitoring, and diagnosing universal HART, Modbus, and Honeywell DE instruments.
Flexible and intrinsically safe, the Versatilis solution by Honeywell is a handheld configuration tool that operates through an advanced modem and a smart app.
Certified for hazardous locations
The Versatilis is certified for use in hazardous locations, functioning through a state-of-the-art intrinsically safe tablet and a contemporary smart app for configuration and diagnostics. Users can communicate securely with these devices from a distance, ensuring safe and easy operation. The Versatilis includes such advanced instrument asset-management features as offline configuration and history, and it is pre-loaded with the necessary software and all registered HART DD files.
This solution also offers an open platform for other secure productivity and mobility applications, with simple, easy, and free upgrades to new DD files as a user function. The Versatilis works with commercial off-the-shelf batteries for the modem interface, as well as convenient and bundled accessories
The Versatilis advanced modem measures 110 by 115 by 35 millimetres (mm) without the belt clip that comes with it for mounting; a magnetic hanging strap is also included. It offers a Bluetooth range of up to 100 metres, with an integrated two-dBi omni-directional antenna. Available from Thermo-Kinetics, the modem has an IP64 rating and several field communication protocols, and it has standard four-mm banana jacks for field connection terminals, plus leads with spring hooks.
The configuration smart app works through a Windows 10 or Android 8.0 operating system or higher, with a minimum RAM of two gigabytes and recommended level of four gigabytes. The minimum screen resolution is 768 by 1,024, with a recommended resolution of 1,200 by 1,920.
Honeywell recommends using a C1D1 Zone 1 or C1D2 Zone 2 tablet for the user interface and mobility device. The former should have a Windows 10 Pro or Android 9 operating system; the latter should have Android 9.
