MOCAP products are made of many materials.

MOCAP always makes high quality a major priority, and this is why its enormous selection of protective items is trusted by businesses across North America. For instance, the manufacturer sources only the finest raw materials available to make these products. All MOCAP caps, plugs, and masking solutions use only the best.

To ensure that its portfolio stays great and works for a wide variety of applications, the MOCAP team chooses from a broad spectrum of high-quality materials.

Vinyl, paper, rubber, and more

The customer base can select any product based on the raw materials from which it is produced, in order to function with specific needs. MOCAP even provides a material specification sheet on its website, which details the hardness, strengths, elongations, and insulation in each of these options. MOCAP uses the following six categories of raw materials in its products:

  • Flexible vinyl. MOCAP can offer a broad range of caps, plugs, grips, and covers made of flexible vinyl or PVC. Custom dip-moulded products are also available in any requested colour, hardness, or texture.
  • Paper. The company uses natural paper to make straight caps, tapered plugs, and other similar types of plugs and caps. MOCAP relies on natural paper that is tough yet flexible, while also being recyclable and environmentally friendly. This paper can also withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius.
  • Plastic. MOCAP makes plastic plugs and caps from low-density polyethylene, or LDPE. Also available are materials like plastic injection moulding of polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), nylon, thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), and almost any thermoplastic resin.
  • Rubber. Rubber caps, plugs, and tubes are usually made of moulded and extruded silicone and ethylene propylene diene monomer materials. Other MOCAP options available include natural, Nitrile, SBR, and other thermoset rubber materials.
  • Extruded plastic. MOCAP uses polyethylene terephthalate glycol, which is usually employed for unique product packaging that stands out, to make its extruded plastic tubes.
  • Extruded silicone rubber. MOCAP uses high-end silicone compounds in order to produce extruded silicone rubber units. The two primary examples are its silicone tubing and its self-bonding silicone X-Treme Tape.
