For more than three-quarters of a century, the HARTING team has continued to develop new, innovative connectivity solutions – which are all available in this country through HARTING Canada. This includes its traditional RJ45 connectors for industrial networks. Now, the manufacturer has introduced the RJ Industrial Multifeature, an easy and tool-free RJ45 field assembly plug that provides a time savings of as much as ¼ in network assembly applications: a dream come true for Ethernet network installers.

Faster assembly of network infrastructure

All of these installers want easier, faster assembly of network infrastructure. Standard RJ45 solutions for industrial networks offer a time for confection that is ½ preparation of the cable and ½ connection. The RJ Industrial Multifeature series consists of highly reliable and robust units with integrated cutting tools for quick and simple assembly. This makes installation far less time-consuming, making the full assembly more than 25 per cent faster.

Workers no longer need to shorten the individual wires eight times with a wire cutter, and the connector also improves the quality of the connection process. The wires are always safely shortened in the same place in every connector, and this also makes sure that the HF performance of all assemblies is the same. Extra features that provide key advantages for businesses include the usability for flexible and rigid wires from AWG 26 to 22, the robust cable fastening, and the angled connector with variable cable outlet direction.

The traditional RJ45 connector was a telecommunications development that was not good enough for many industrial applications. But the new RJ Industrial Multifeature series by HARTING is built to satisfy all of the needs and challenges in a harsh operating environment. Every unit receives data from, and is powered by, a safe Cat. 6A output and IP20 and IP65/67 Han PushPull casing, combined with a PoE power supply IEEE802.3af (PoE 15.4 watts)/IEEE802.3at (PoE 25½ watts)/IEEE802.3bt (PoE 100 watts).
