disc-spring units

Daemar offers several standard series.

For essential components for industry, the right place to go is always Daemar Inc. The supplier’s unsurpassed inventory includes many products for retaining applications, ranging from tapered and spiral retaining rings to wave springs, constant sections, and disc springs. These disc-spring units all comply with stringent European quality and safety standards.

Daemar disc springs are available in multiple sizes for various tasks. They are recommended for use with windmills, actuators, and ball valves.

Three standard series available

The DIN Metric Series is a standard Daemar range of disc-spring units. This series consists of 254 models in 246 sizes, with outside diameters running from six to 250 millimetres (mm) and inner diameters from 3.2 to 127 mm. These disc springs are made from Ck67 and 50 CrV 4 and have a standard corrosion protection of zinc phosphating and oiling. Disc springs that are ½ a millimetre thick or more are shot-peened to boost their fatigue. Bolt sizes range from three to 125 mm.

Another line of disc-spring units available from Daemar is the DIN 6796 series of Belleville washers. These springs are intended for pre-loading bolts, but not for applications with dynamic loads. Heavy-duty Belleville washers (also known as conical washers) are made from the same materials that the DIN Metric Series is. Their bolt sized run from two to 30 mm, while outer diameters go from five to 69.85 mm and inner diameters range from 2.21 to 30.99 mm.

DMR Belleville disc springs produce high loads when they are deflected to their flat positions. This deflection reduces the spring rate of the bolted system significantly, which in turn lowers the change in the bolt’s pre-load and stops leaks through the joint. The DMR Belleville series is best suited for live loading of flange joints and valve steam packing gland applications. Among the variations are springs with bolt stress of 30,000, 45,000, or 60,000 pounds and springs with PH 17-7 PH material.

As well as standard disc springs, Daemar offers customized ones for specific tasks. All of them are pre-assembled in stacks or on guiding devices.
