thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes

Durham Instruments carries thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes by Teledyne Hastings.

World-class measurement instrumentation is why businesses across Canada count on Durham Instruments. The distributor supplies innovative products from many high-profile manufacturers with international reputations, such as Teledyne Hastings, an American producer renowned for a wide range of quality vacuum and gas mass-flow devices. The Teledyne Hastings lineup includes the original DV-4 and DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes, plus the DV-5 range, all designed to offer accurate measurement and control of vacuum.

Known worldwide for their dependability

These precision sensing devices are known worldwide for their dependability – following a history of international success that has lasted more than six decades. Among the applications for which they are highly recommended are refrigerators, cryogenics, vacuum insulators, air conditioning, freeze drying, transformer oil refills, and pharmaceuticals. Their versatility expands to numerous industries: Durham Instruments deems them suitable for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, education, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.

Teledyne Hastings gauge tubes/sensors are fully compensated for both temperature and rate of temperature change. Each of these thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes uses the rugged yet sensitive and time-tested THI thermopile sensor. The short, firmly connected thermocouples do not have any suspended welds to external heaters, and proprietary tooling and process-control improvements provide extended service life for these sensors and tubes.

Reliable, repeatable, and with stable calibration, these thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes benefit from their rugged construction and their non-contaminating design. The standard gauge tube has a hermetically sealed base with glass, stainless steel- and nickel-plated components, and a colour-coded label; it functions at a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celsius and has a maximum pressure of 150 psig. The three series available:

  • DV-4 range. Recommended primarily for HVAC, refrigeration, transformer-oil, and laboratory applications. Pressure ranges from 20 to 0.1 Torr.
  • DV-5 range. Good for semiconductor processes, lighting, plasma coating, sputtering, and laboratory work. Pressure goes from 0.1 to 0.0001 Torr.
  • DV-6 range. For semiconductor processes, cryogenic tanks, plasma coating, load locks, and laboratory applications. Pressure from one to 0.001 Torr.
