Durham Instruments offers the Digital 300 Vue Series by Teledyne Hastings.

Teledyne Hastings Instruments manufactures the Digital 300 Vue Series of thermal mass flow meters and controllers, built to measure mass flow accurately without corrections or compensations for gas pressure and temperature. Available from Durham Instruments, this series includes the HFC-D-302A and B digital flow controllers. Each device has a precision solenoid proportional control valve, configured and tested based on the user’s flow rate, gas, and pressure conditions.

With optional touchscreen displays

Like the rest of the 300 series, the HFC-D-302A and B have thermal-based mass flow sensors that offer exceptional linear response to changing flow rates. These sensors have electronics precisely tuned to offer quick response times.

The D-302B series of digital flow controllers features optional touchscreen displays through which users view and control flow rates directly through the instruments. Each main screen displays flow rate and set point, units of measure, valve mode, and changes in flow over time, while allowing access to menus that enable fast configuration of the device for changing requirements.

Other features and benefits of these digital flow controllers:

  • Flow ranges from 0-5 sccm to 0-25 slm (N2 equivalent);
  • Accuracy of ±(0.5 per cent of reading plus 0.2 per cent of full scale);
  • All-metal seals;
  • HFC-D-302 valve with Kalrez seat;
  • USB port;
  • 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA, or 4-20 mA I/O;
  • RS232/RS485;
  • Typical settling time of under one second (HFM-D-300) or one to two seconds (HFC-D-302);
  • Status LEDs;
  • Totalizer;
  • Large-diameter sensor tube;
  • Operating pressure that can exceed 500 pounds per square inch;
  • NIST traceable calibration;
  • High linearity; and
  • Digital extended range.

The HFC-D-302A and B suit myriad applications, including leak testing, high-purity gas delivery, thin film deposition, gas blending, pharmaceuticals, fuel-cell research and development, environmental monitoring, and medical research. Durham Instruments deems them suitable for use in the general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food-processing, military, packaging, power, energy, and transportation sectors.
