Tear-tab plastic caps by MOCAP fit over tubing, fittings, rods

MOCAP offers four series of tear-tab plastic caps.

MOCAP has been providing product protection to North American businesses since 1982 – specializing in plastic, rubber, and vinyl solutions. For high versatility, customers rely on the company’s line of tear-tab plastic caps. They are designed to fit over threaded tubing and rods, and they are perfect for many applications.

Among the common uses for these caps are as shipping caps, end caps, pipe caps, product protectors, or thread protectors.

Inner rings for secure locking

A key benefit that MOCAP tear-tab plastic caps offer is their innovative lock function. Each cap has inner rings that lock it onto threads securely, and after the application is complete, the user merely pulls an easy-grip tear tab to break the seal. All of these caps are made from low-density polyethylene. MOCAP makes the following four models:

• TSC Series for straight threads. These caps are available in 14 sizes and constructed to fit straight threads measuring from 3/8-24 to 1-7/16-12 in size. The inner lengths run from 11.2 to 21.1 millimetres (mm), and the inner diameters range from 9.4 to 36.3 mm in length.
• TCM Series for metric threads. Six sizes available in these category, designed for tubes and fittings that have metric threads that go from M12 to M22 in size. The inner lengths go from 12 to 20 mm, while the inner diameters range from 12 to 22 mm.
• TCBSP Series for BSP threads. Seven sizes of these caps are available, made to fit BSP threads ranging from ¼-19 to 1-11. The inner lengths run from 11 to 25 mm, and the inner diameters go from 12.9 to 32.9 mm.
• TCNPT Series for NPT threads. Available in 11 sizes, for tubes and fittings with NPT threads from 1/8 to 3 in size. Inner lengths range from 8.1 to 35.3 mm. Small and large inner diameters are available, from 9.8 to 88.9 mm.

MOCAP’s inventory holds tear-tab plastic caps for immediate shipment in boxes containing as many as 5,000, depending on size. For customers who want smaller quantities, Micro-Packs and Mini-Packs are also available.
