Sugatsune offers a variety of marine choices.

The marine industry is unique, as it requires functional and slim-fitting hardware that can sustain performance under various weather conditions. Sugatsune products are fabricated with the highest quality of stainless-steel materials to create durable hardware suitable for marine equipment and exterior components. Multi-Purpose Latch Hooks:
Our collection of EN latch hooks are made from 316 stainless steel to withstand harsh exterior and highly corrosive environments. Their body features a unique upward latch that allows for an increased hanging capacity and keeps items hooked. This functional design helps prevent items from slipping off and makes them ideal for vibration and shock applications. The average load capacity for these hooks is approximately 44 lbs.; however, there are other models (EN-R100F & ENK120) within this series that have a load capacity of up to 132 lbs.! More so, there are unique models within the series that can swivel up to 180 degrees (EN-R100F) or be used with a padlock (EN-R80-K). These heavy-duty multi-functional hooks are perfect for boats that have limited space, but require maximum utility to store ropes, life jackets, and other equipment.

BCTS-85J Adjustable Tension Catch:
Tension catches, also known as knuckle catches, provide a high holding force and are often used for securing cabinets and doors in place. Our BCTS-85J tension catch is made of 316 stainless steel and features a polished finish, requiring little-to-no maintenance when used in highly corrosive environments. The tension (pull force) of this catch can be adjusted up to 18 lbs with an indicator by simply using an Allen key. More so, the BCTS-85J features a two-piece strike plate with an adjustment tolerance of +/-1.5 mm on each side that helps overcome misalignment. Once correctly installed, the strike locks in position, making it ideal for applications in which there are constant changes in movement. Lastly, the universal design of this catch permits it to be installed either vertically or horizontally, allowing possibility for various applications.

BSS-2/BSS-3 Spring Loaded Barrel Bolt:
Designed for applications in which a longer throw is required, the BSS spring-loaded barrel bolt features sleeves that the bolt springs back into for locking and flexibility in application. This feature securely keeps the bolt locked in position and allows cabinet doors to remain closed while the boat is in motion. The 304 stainless steel body of this bolt makes this item ideal for environments that are susceptible to corrosion. This collection of bolts consists of lengths that range from 90 mm up to 240 mm and can be installed either vertically or horizontally to accommodate various applications.

FT Series Handles:
Sugatsune’s FT collection of 304 and 316 stainless steel handles are surface-mounted and can be installed on drawers, furniture, and cabinet doors. Available in various shapes and sizes, each handle’s ergonomic design features precise curvatures for a comfortable grip, to ensure that the user’s hand does not get strained during repeated use.

TLP & DPL Push Knob Latches:
Sugatsune’s wide range of push knob latches allow for perfect door retention and release. The TLP are DPL series are slim, low-profile, cabinet-latching systems that come in a variety of shapes (square, oval, round) and finishes (chrome, satin nickel, gold). These latches are non-handed, making them suitable for left- or right-hand use, as well as inset and overlay mounting. To open cabinet doors, simply push on the knob to disengage the latch and pull towards you. When the knob is pushed into the frame, it closes and locks the cabinet door and becomes flush with its surroundings. As an additional safety feature, the latch automatically locks when the cabinet door is closed, regardless of whether it is pushed in or not. Latches from the TLP series have a holding force of up to 44 lbs. and can be adjusted to door thicknesses of 19 mm to 30 mm, whereas the DPL latches feature a pull force of 22 lbs and can be adjusted to 15-25 mm to accommodate lighter and thinner doors.

Fastmount Panel Mounting Systems:
Fastmount® panel mounting systems have quickly become the world standard for interior panels in the marine industry, as their reliable and superior finish creates non-sequential and removable fixings for custom yachts. Fastmount clips create a low profile between the panel and substrate that can securely be removed and refitted as needed. For the marine industry, we noted some of the most popular reasons and applications to select the following clip series.

  • Very Low-Profile Clip: caters to lightweight wall panels and custom furniture fittings.
  • Textile Clip: often used for upholstered components, such as storage/seating benches.
  • Metal Clip: requires a stronger pull-out force, meaning it can sustain unstable environments with high vibrations.
