Vaughan produces a line of conditioning pumps.
John Brooks Company Limited works with many great manufacturers, including Vaughan Company. Vaughan makes a unique series of submersible conditioning pumps, each of which is mounted on a portable stand and fits with a high-velocity mixing nozzle. These versatile Vaughan units work for various applications.
Among the many uses for these conditioning pumps are lift-station, basin, influent-station/channel, and holding-tank conditioning, plus digester clean-out or homogenization.
Usable for multiple tasks
Vaughan submersible conditioning pumps work by recirculating the contents of the wet well by chopping and mixing to create a homogeneous mixture that can be pumped out more easily. During operation, floating mats are removed and the pump re-suspends solids that have accumulated on the floor. Since the pumps are mounted on portable stands, customers can easily use them for multiple tasks at the same site or plant.
A diverse range of materials go into the construction of these pumps. Each contains an impeller, upper cutter, cutter bar, and cutter nut built of cast alloy steel, heat-treated to minimum Rockwell C 60. The casing and bearing housing are made of ductile cast iron, with a cartridge-type mechanical seal containing silicone carbide seal faces and a stainless steel sleeve. The pumps also have back-to-back angular contact ball-type thrust bearings and lubrication with ISO Grade 46 hydraulic oil, and they are coated with epoxy paint.
