Lapp Group’s Skintop strain relief cable glands are known for their performance and reliability, even in the most demanding applications. The Skintop Hygienic model is no exception. This stainless steel cable gland is FDA-approved, allowing customers in the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries to enjoy the benefits of Skintop in their environments.

Specially designed features

Skintop Hygienic is designed to prevent micro-organisms and bacteria from sticking to the surface, making it ideal for use in the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries. The gland has an IP68/69K rating and can withstand the high pressure and high temperature washdowns typical of these environments. In addition, its special elastomer sealing element makes it particularly suited to food and beverage applications. The unit can withstand temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees C.

Just like all Skintop products, it offers anti-vibration protection, better sealing, gripping and clamping, and maximum protection from dirt, oils and water.

Options

To ensure the needs of each customer are met, the cable glands are available in a variety of thread types and sizes. M12, M16, M20 and M25 thread types are available for the Hygienic model, with thread lengths ranging from 0.256 to 0.315 inches. The overall length of the unit spans from 1.572 to 1.927 inches.
