The Magnum SG eliminates many of the common issues with feeding soft aluminum wire electrode through a conventional push wire feeding system. It is capable of feeding wire electrode from 0.6 to 1.2 millimetres in diameter at wire-feed speeds of 16½ metres per minute. The spool gun can handle 0.45 kilograms of 102-millimetre-diameter wire electrode spool, and the Quick Release drive system makes it easy to load wire spools. The textured see-through spool and body covers allow easy monitoring of wire supply and feed path. Users can easily convert to steel or stainless wire welding, 0.6 millimetres in diameter, with the optional knurled drive roll and grooved idler roll.
