specialty valves

IPEX offers specialty valves and more.

IPEX is a key Canadian source of industrial piping solutions and valves. It carries an impressive range of ball valves, butterfly valves, diaphragm valves, and check and vent valves. In addition to these units, IPEX offers specialty valves and valve actuation.

With this broad valve offering, the IPEX team can serve a wide variety of customers in different industries for many kinds of applications.

Valves for unique process requirements

Several specialty valves are available for some unique process requirements. For example, sediment strainers trap suspended particles flowing in process lines, to protect downstream components, while solenoid valves are recommended for high-cycle tasks that require remote operation and precise control. Laboratory valves are economical solutions for small-scale on/off requirements.

The following models of specialty valves are available from IPEX:

  • RV series of sediment strainers. The RV Y-pattern strainer protects critical components, and its clear PVC construction enables inspection of screens while in service. Available with EPDM or FPM seals.
  • LV series of laboratory valves. Innovative, PVC quarter-turn units that come with assorted connections that match up with various pipes or hoses.
  • VV series of angle seat valves. These are built for economical throttling of flow and are especially suited for on-off service of clean liquids. The Y-pattern design enables installation in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Available in a True Union body design.
  • S12/22 series of solenoid valves. Designed for industrial, original-equipment, and water-service applications. These are direct-acting, two-way/two-position flow control valves, perfect for precise control and high-cycle service. Available with EPDM or FPM seals.

For valve actuation, IPEX also offers quarter-turn pneumatic and electric units. Automation is ideal for precise control of many valves in a system when valves are located remotely or when constant monitoring and adjustment are required.

These products for valve actuation can easily fit onto IPEX’s ball, multi-port, and butterfly valves. Among the features and functions: normally closed, normally open, or double-acting operation; corrosion-resistant aluminum bodies; pre-loaded springs; and adjustable cams. Accessories include visual position indicators, positioners, and three- or four-way solenoids.
