Trelleborg Sealing Solutions products are now available in Canada through Daemar Inc. In addition to the standard seal line, Trelleborg makes a range of special seals for applications with unique requirements. This lineup has been developed over half a century to deal with the most challenging industry-specific needs a customer has.

From several models of hydraulic seals to pneumatic seals, wear rings, and rotary seals, the variety of Trelleborg special seals covers many specific needs.

Fluid sealing and more

The lineup include hydraulic piston seals and hydraulic rod seals, both of which are used for fluid sealing in hydraulic cylinders. Piston seals are placed internal to the cylinder head and seal against the bore, to prevent liquid from flowing across the head. Rod seals are installed external to the head and seal against the cylinder’s rod to stop liquid from leaking from within the cylinder to the outside. Daemar also carries Trelleborg hydraulic scrapers and wipers, which are used to scrape dirt, foreign particles, chips, or moisture from the piston rods as they retract into the system. Another option, hydraulic wear rings, guides the piston and piston rod of the cylinder.

Trelleborg also makes innovative surface finishes, which can have a significant effect on the performance of elastomer seals. The Flexcoat range of surface finishes is recommended for optimum friction characteristics, particularly in automated assembly operations. These products also offer benefits for seals fitted in plug-fit and quick-release couplings. For seals that must meet specific cleanliness standards, both on the surface and internally, Trelleborg offers the Flexclean service, with three distinct standards.

Pneumatic seals are made by Trelleborg from optimized material and offer no stick-slip, high friction characteristics, and high wear resistance. The range includes pneumatic rod seals, piston seals, rod seal/scraper combinations, static seals, pneumatic scrapers, wear rings, and cushioning seals.

Finally, a line of specialized rotary and shaft seals comes in many varieties, from best-in-class proprietary radical lip seals to high-quality radial oil seals. These units by Trelleborg feature such advantages as extended component life, specialized solutions, and suitability with range of application.
