Gom Correlate Pro

Gom industrial solutions are available through Durham Instruments, including Gom Correlate Pro, a software that uses digital-image correlation and point-tracking algorithms for three-dimensional testing data. Gom Correlate Pro allows users to capture measurement information from pictures and motion-picture material; these videos offer accurate recordings and individual analysis of dynamic processes.

Gom Correlate Pro analyzes many types of measurement, including strains, displacements, velocities, accelerations, rotations, angles, and angle changes.

Gom Correlate Pro software: Digital image correlation and point tracking 3D analysis of test data

The software measures 3D coordinates with subpixel accuracy and tracks them over time, and it can capture and evaluate motions and deformations in 3D space too. Durham Instruments recommends it for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, the medical field, mining, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.

To capture, analyze, and process measurement information, Gom Correlate Pro has many functions, some of which users can customize. The software saves time and money by simplifying data evaluations. Gom Correlate Pro is based on a parametric concept: due to version control, one can keep track of process steps, edit them, and rerun them to accelerate the evaluation of measuring info and ensure ease of use. Other advantages include project templates for quicker evaluation and automated reporting, definition of different coordinate systems for evaluations (like the application for rigid body-motion compensation), and extensive filter options for all info.

This solution has a variety of helpful features that optimize both processes and workflow: CAD and FEM import plus alignments; extensive evaluation features, including 6DoF analyses, trajectories, and virtual extensometers; measurement of standard geometries with Gom Touch Probe and measuring points not directly visible with adapters; sensor connectivity, via generic USB cameras, ARAMIS sensors, and photogrammetry solutions; and a Python interface to record, save, edit, and reuse operations for semi-automated evaluation.

Customers have the option to add all the functionalities they need. They can choose from three packages – determination of material characteristics based on tensile, Nakajima, and bulge tests, import of FEM data sets and full-field comparison between measurement info and simulation info, or thermo-mechanical deformation analysis using temperature data from thermographic cameras.
