The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector Plus by SMT

Durham Instruments offers test and measurement solutions by many manufacturers, like SMT Elektronik. The company has upgraded its MONI LOG MicroShockDetector: the MONI LOG MicroShockDetector Plus is a compact, lightweight shock detector and data logger that can register the 200 largest shock events in the X, Y, and Z directions. Users can monitor not only shock information, but also temperature, humidity, air pressure, and light with this innovative device.

Ideal for large superconducting magnets

This lightweight shock detector is a versatile tool for many industries. Durham Instruments deems it suitable for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, and transportation.

High-sensitivity devices, such as large superconducting magnets used for medical technology, need safe, demonstrable protection during transport and storage. The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector Plus is ideal for this application. Weighting 180 grams and smaller than a Smartphone, this unit reliably stores all data on shocks of every dimension, assigns them to acceleration classes, offers curve progressions, and reports alarms instantly when limit values are exceeded.

Configuring this device’s switch-on time is simple, and users can read out all info through the USB port, transfer it to a computer, and evaluate it. This lightweight shock detector also has an option to read out the status report with a Smartphone via NFC. The free app sends the read status report via e-mail as a PDF file. One can install and dismantle the instrument quickly with adhesive pads, screws, or supplied magnetic holding feet.

Other benefits of the MicroShockDetector Plus:

  • ability to save ten curve progressions of the biggest shocks
  • alarm LED that indicates limit-value overruns
  • communication through USB and NFC
  • configurable recording time over start-stop time
  • constant recording of temperature, humidity, light, and air pressure
  • easy mounting with adhesive pad, screws, or magnetic feet
  • free app that allows reading of status reports through NFC with a Smartphone
  • intelligent signal filtering and evaluation
  • intuitive operation, with long, independent operational time
  • licence-free PC software for simple configuration and evaluation
