Air- and water-cooled models

These compact chillers by SMC are available in air- and water-cooled models, all of which comply with international safety standards, including CE and UL (the latter for 60-hertz units only). Other common benefits of these products include a low-tank fluid-level-detection function, a power-failure auto-restart function, single-phase power for simple installation, timer operation function, environmentally friendly refrigerants (namely R407C and R410A), and RS232C, RS485, and contact I/O for remote access and signals.

Examples of SMC chillers available from Advanced Motion and Controls Ltd. include the following:

• Series HRS, HRS-R, and HRSE. Recirculating units recommended for machine tools, lasers and photonics, analytical instruments, life sciences, food packaging, or printing. Features include timer operation, low-tank-level detection, power-failure auto-restart, anti-freezing function, and self-diagnosis.
• Series HECR (rack mount). Low-capacity, refrigerant-free temperature control device mountable in a 19-inch rack. Meets CE, UL, and RoHS standards.
• Series HRR (rack mount). Temperature control device mountable in a 19-inch rack. Removes hear from process source and then from fluid. Meets CE, UL, and RoHS standards.
• Series HRSH. Recirculating chiller with a cooling capacity range of ten to 28 kilowatts. Substantial energy savings due to inverter. Includes heating function, low-maintenance and seal-less immersion pumps, and IPX4 rating for outdoor installation.
• Series HRL. Temperature control device with two independent cooling channels in one package. With particle filter, earth leakage breaker, casters for mobility, and environmentally friendly refrigerant.
• Series HRW. Refrigerant-free heat exchanger with an energy-efficient design and no compressor. Operation panel includes input keypad and multi-line LCD display.
• Series HRZ. Recirculating chillers recommended for semiconductor and other high-technology sectors. Wide temperature-setting range; compatible with several coolant fluids.
