MOCAP has been a leader in industrial protective solutions for more than 36 years. Today, these products include caps, plugs, grips, plastic and rubber masking items, and custom-moulded solutions. The company’s longevity is a result of many factors – not just great products, but also a dedication to serving customers with high quality and competitive pricing. This has enabled it to re-invest in its employees and facilities internationally.

Years of growth in reputation

It all started in 1982, when MOCAP began making dip-moulded vinyl caps, grips, plugs, and other industrial protective solutions at its first facility in St. Louis. It was not long before the company earned a reputation as a top sales- and service-oriented supplier, and this spurred growth over the years. By 1994, MOCAP had already opened two new factories in Missouri, as well as an innovative dip-moulding facility in the United Kingdom.

But MOCAP did not stop there. Sensing a high demand for top-quality, inexpensive masking products, the company developed a complete line of rubber-injection moulding caps and plugs, while increasing its vinyl-dip-moulding capacity. Soon, MOCAP decided to expand into packaging, and it successfully launched its ClearTec Packaging division by the end of the 1990s. This division has continued to expand to meet this market’s demands.

MOCAP continued to expand its facilities, capabilities, and product lines to serve more valued customers all over the world. The company has since opened additional locations throughout Europe, Latin America, and Asia – all of which supply solutions that use only the latest in injection, compression, transfer, extrusion, and dip-moulding technologies. MOCAP’s most recently opened wholly owned and operated plant is located in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. This state-of-the-art facility includes an in-house tooling and mould-making shop. It enables MOCAP to offer very low tooling costs and competitive piece prices.

The latest area into which MOCAP has expanded is plastic injection moulding. This is the latest step in the company’s continuing evolution as a source that leading manufacturers worldwide choose for industrial protective solutions.
