The Model 101 is a new, three-channel DC signal conditioner amplifier designed for use with bridge type or differential output accelerometers and pressure transducers. From Measurement Specialties and available through Durham Instruments, the Model 101 incorporates variable gain adjustment, shunt calibration capability and multiple excitation level settings.

For various applications where specific frequency roll-off is required, the signal conditioner offers a variety of optional filter modules. Input signals with magnitudes of ±10 VDC can be zeroed with the Model 101 signal conditioner, and a unique output DAC trimming routine allows trimming the output zero to within ±1 mVDC. Each channel amplifier also offers a 150-kHz full power and a 200-kHz small signal bandwidth.

Additional features of the signal conditioner include:

  • It is microprocessor controlled;
  • Zero to 12 VDC excitation voltage;
  • 10-volt peak linear output;
  • ±1mV output trimming option; and
  • ±0.5 per cent FS output accuracy.

The Model 101 is ideal for use in instrumentation labs, test stands, process monitoring, as well as vibration and shock testing.

This three-channel DC signal conditioner is just one of the many offerings from Measurement Specialties, a global designer and manufacturer of sensors and sensor-based systems that measure pressure/force, position, vibration, temperature, humidity and fluid properties. Measurement Specialties’ products are available through Durham Instruments, a Pickering, Ont.-based distributor of high-quality products. Contact Durham Instruments for details on the Model 101, or any of the company’s other offerings.
