The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector by SMT

SMT Elektronik produces state-of-the-art test and measurement devices, available in Canada through Durham Instruments. A great example is the MONI LOG MicroShockDetector: a compact, lightweight shock data logger that weighs a mere 180 grams, but stores a large amount of information reliably. Smaller than a typical cell phone, this shock detector can record the 200 highest shock events with curve plots, while storing as many as ten curve plots for the highest shocks.

With a limit-value monitoring function

During transport or storage, high-sensitivity devices need safe, demonstrable protection; these include large, superconducting magnets for medical applications, for instance. This shock data logger has a limit-value monitoring function that substitutes for more expensive, high-end data loggers, with no loss to measurement info. This makes it a boon in many industries; Durham Instruments deems it suitable for general manufacturing, aerospace, the military, power generation, alternative energy, and transportation.

The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector stores all shock data reliably in three axes, sets collected data into acceleration classes, supplies curve plots, and activates an LED alarm once the device surpasses limit values, during constant monitoring of temperature. The instrument also has a switch-on time that is simple to configure; with the help of the USB support, one can read, configure, and evaluate all of the data on a PC.

This shock data logger can be mounted and removed quickly by using its adhesive pad, screws, or the supplied set of magnetic adhering feet. It is justifiable to use the MicroShockDetector only one time, on the basis of the good environmental and economical parameters. Among the other features and benefits of this MONI LOG instrument: smart signal filtering and evaluation; user-friendliness and easy operation; long operational time, independent of mains; licence-free computer software for assessment and configuration; and customized configuration for recording time span over Start-Stop period.

Additionally, the device has an IP67 protection rating and can function in temperatures ranging from -40 to 65 degrees Celsius, with a maximum level of relative humidity of 98 per cent. Its housing is made of plastic, and its base stainless steel.
