The JK 2000 DIN rail mountable loop isolator

JM Concept is one of many great manufacturers of industrial equipment and tools that are available in Canada through Durham Instruments. A key example is the JK 2000 DIN rail mountable loop isolator, a self-powered galvanic separator that allows users to solve the major issues of common points for complex measurement.

The primary advantage of the JK 2000 loop isolator is that the measurement signal is highly protected, being unaffected by ground loops and grounds at different potentials. Another telling advantage is the way it helps to reduce the spread of interferences.

Guaranteed performance for five years

This range of isolators is packaged in a case that leaves a small footprint, and customers can snap this case into the symmetrical or asymmetrical DIN rail. Another model is available that uses the JM Concept BASELINE; this version of the device allows the loop isolator to be hot-swappable, with simple plugging in and out. The JK 2000 is a powerful and durable device that gives users a long period of performance: the manufacturer guarantees the unit for five years.

Six distinct models of the JK 2000 are available from JM Concept, each of which offers a one-channel input and output for current. The JK2002, JK20S2, and JK20A2 models also have two-channel inputs and outputs for current. The JK2001, JK2001D, and JK2002 models offer an electrical impedance of 150 ohms < Rc < 550 ohms, whereas the JK20S1 and JK20S2 versions have an impedance of zero ohms < Rc < 250 ohms, and the JK20A2 unit has an impedance of zero ohms < Rc < 350 ohms.

Other specifications for the JK 2000:

  • Dimensions: 18 by 62 by 55 millimetres (mm). The JK20001D model has a size of 22½ by 81 by 98 mm.
  • Input and output gauge: 0…4…20mA of current.
  • Precision class:15.
  • Response time: less than 30 milliseconds.
  • Thermal drift: less than 50 parts per million.
  • Operating temperature: minus ten to 60 degrees Celsius
  • Protection factor: IP20 self-extinguishing polyamide housing V0.

Durham Instruments recommends the JK 2000 for use in such industries as general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
