Selection tool ensures users get the right cable gland for the job

Selecting the appropriate cable gland to meet the exact requirements of the application has never been easier, thanks to Lapp Group’s Skintop Cable Gland Selection Tool. In just three simple steps, the tool helps users find the best cable gland for the job.

Step 1

To get started, the user simply enters in the part number of the gland they are interested in or, if they’re not sure, they can select the “Choose a Skintop” option to enter in the application details.

Step 2

If the “Choose a Skintop” option is selected, the user is then prompted to indicate the type required, whether it’s bell-shaped, hazardous, low temperature, metal, polyamide, shielding, solar, stainless steel or standard glands. The user can also indicate the outside diameter of the cable, the cable part number or the connector part number.

Step 3

Once the details of the application are described, the user simply clicks “Get Results” to see the types of Skintop cable glands that meet the application requirements indicated. Each option provides the technical specs and a CAD model. To get pricing on one of the options, the user can click “Get Pricing”, fill out their contact information and a Lapp Group representative will be in touch.
