One of the manufacturer’s most popular products is its line of friction fit plugs, which protects fittings and threads from moisture and contamination. These friction fit plugs are recommended during production, shipping, and storage phases of manufacturing operations, and they are available in a broad range of designs, colours, and sizes to satisfy different requirements.

Barrel, pipe, or tapered

The MOCAP team offers the following eight types of friction fit plugs:

• Barrel plugs with flange – general-purpose plugs with high flexibility, which enables fits with various threaded and non-threaded tubing sizes and styles. The convex bodies hold them in place. They are easy to apply and remove.
• Flexible vinyl insertion plugs – versatile units designed to fit pipes, holes, and masking. Convenient, inexpensive alternatives for rubber plugs; recommended for protecting valves, pumps, cylinders, or tubing in assembly, shipping, and masking.
• General-purpose plugs for Type L and M copper tubes – for applications that require the plug’s outer diameter to be smaller than the tubing’s. MOCAP recommends them for pressure and water-supply tasks.
• Pipe plugs – black LDPE units that protect metric, BSP, and NPT piping from damage and debris.
• Sheet metal hole plugs – polyethylene units with three designs: flush plugs for standard holes, flush plugs for metric holes, and recessed plugs for standard holes. Perfect for capping plug holes on appliances, cars, tanks, and cabinets.
• Tapered plugs for Type K copper tubing – for plugging and protecting copper tubing, with a reinforced cross bracing for a secure fit and a slight pull tab that simplifies removal. Thirteen sizes.
• Tapered plugs for Type L and M copper tubing – like Type K, for different sizes. Eleven sizes available.
• Tube plugs – plastic plugs with multiple horizontal ribs, enabling simple installation and secure fitting on multiple tube gauges with built-in flexibility. Built to fit standard and metric sizes of round, square, rectangular, and now oval tubes, plus different “top” styles like rounded, pyramid, and angled. Popular for furniture, tubular racks, appliances, and fitness equipment.
