Available in a non-metallic version, the BEAST is an anti-clog, heavy-duty flapper valve pump that comes highly recommended for such applications as mine dewatering, meat and poultry processing, and chemical sumps. The Sandpiper crew developed and designed this unit to surmount the common limitations of other pumps and technologies on the market.

Thicker shafts, beefier flappers

This extremely heavy-duty flapper pump offers such benefits as thicker main shafts, beefier flappers, and its pilot assembly. What sets this Sandpiper solution apart in the pump market is its groundbreaking flap-valve technology, which allows large solids to pass freely as it resists the accumulation of packable dust and small solids: therefore, it prevents the clogs that are common with AODD pumps from the competition. By solving this frequent problem that affects many customers, the BEAST offers the reliability that customers have come to expect from Sandpiper.

The BEAST is perfect for pumping the widest range of fluids that contain solids and chemicals, and Sandpiper recommends it for handling small or large solids, packable materials, harsh chemicals, viscous liquids, and abrasive liquids. Among the other major features of this pump are thick, robust wetted chambers for extra abrasion resistance, top suction and bottom discharge for easier passage of settling solids, all-bolted construction for long-term, leak-free performance, an ESADS+ air-distribution system for added dependability and speed, and the lowest air consumption in its class.

The non-metallic version of the BEAST has a port size of two inches NM NPT (internal), BSP (tapered), ANSI, and DIN flange, as well as capacity from zero to six litres per minute, and up to 46 millimetres of solids handling. Available immediately from stock through York Fluid Controls, the pump also has heads up to 100 pounds per square inch (psi) or 70 metres of water, displacement/stroke of 1.9 litres, and a maximum operating pressure of 100 psi.
