These two lines of ball valve pumps are the result of an engineering evolution by Sandpiper, aiming for optimal performance without sacrificing reliability.

Leader in maximum flow rate

The Sandpiper S20 standard-duty metallic AODD pump is a world leader in maximum flow rate: it has a capacity up to 32 per cent higher than that of competing products, which allows production to move far more quickly. Meanwhile, the S30 requires up to 56 per cent less air to operate, which reduces the load on any compressed-air system and, consequently, lowers operating expenses.

Both of these types of ball valve pumps from York Fluid Controls are perfectly suitable for intermittent/on-demand, portable, moderately abrasive fluids and suspended solids. They have been built out of aluminum, cast iron, stainless steel, and non-metallic materials like PTFE, polypropylene, and PVDF with thermal plastic elastomers, as well as PTFE options in diaphragms and check valves. The pumps provide up to 2½ times more gallons per cubic foot of supplied air. With their efficiency and economy, they can save a company as much as $3,500 a year in operating costs.

Specifications of the S20 standard-duty metallic AODD pump include the following: port size of two inches Universal Flange; capacity from 0 to 605 litres per minute; solids handling of up to 17 millimetres; heads up to 100 pounds per square inch (psi) or 70 metres of water; maximum operating pressure of 100 psi; and displacement/stroke of 1.73 litres.

The S30 has the following specifications: port size of three inches, NPT or BSP (tapered), ANSI flange or DIN flange; capacity from 0 to 1,078 litres per minute; solids handling of up to 9.65 millimetres; heads up to 125 psi or 88 metres of water; maximum operating pressure of 125 psi; and displacement/stroke of 3.56 litres.
