The Signature Series is made by Sandpiper.

York Fluid Controls Ltd. is the premier supplier of fluid-handling solutions in the country, with an unsurpassed variety of products by Sandpiper. The lineup includes a series of Warren Rupp Signature paint-processing duty pumps – four series, to be specific. These are designed specially for paint and coatings process applications.

Among the many tasks and industries for which these Sandpiper pumps are recommended are mixing tanks, milling, paint filtration, filling machines, tank transfer, waste treatment, and utilities.

Heavy, containment, or standard duty

Sandpiper manufactures heavy-duty ball (HDB), heavy-duty flap (HDF), containment-duty (CD), and standard-duty (SD) series of paint-processing pumps. Features and benefits of all four versions include guaranteed performance, an inline serviceable air-valve system, bolted construction, safety, reliability, easy maintenance, durability, single-purpose use, corrosion resistance, and a diaphragm-connecting rod.

Both heavy-duty series offer bottom discharge porting, which eliminates settling solids, as well as thick wall construction, horizontal and vertical manifold connections, a free-standing base, reduction of downtime, easy rebuilding, and a heavy-duty wear package. The HDB pump has weighted ball check valves and a solids range from six to 22 millimetres (mm), and it dry-primes up to 20 feet of water, while the HDF pump has hinged flap check valves and a solids range from 25 to 76 mm, and it dry-primes up to 24 feet of water.

The CD and SD series are both portable and provide top discharge porting, which eliminates entrained air. Other features include metallic and nonmetallic construction materials, ball check valves, light weight, and 90-to-180-degree manifold connection rotation. In addition, the CD pump has a containment chamber with leak detection and a solids range from six to 18 mm, while the SD model has a solids range from three to 12.7 mm and dry-primes up to 20 feet of water.

Multiple pump sizes can meet the flow and head requirements for most applications. An appropriately sized-up pump can reduce the consolidated initial investment, repair, labour, and energy expenses. Customers are encouraged to contact the York Fluid Controls team to help with size selection that fits their cost-of-ownership budgets.
