Paint-processing pumps by Sandpiper
York Fluid Controls Ltd. is Canada’s source of innovative pumping solutions by Sandpiper Pumps, a Warren Rupp, Inc. brand. Among the manufacturer’s lineup of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps is a selection of paint-processing duty pumps, based on more than four decades’ worth of paint-processing experience on Warren Rupp’s behalf.
With four configurations available, these paint-processing pumps by Sandpiper are recommended for mixing tanks, milling, paint filtration, filling machines, tank transfer, waste treatment, and utility.
Durable, single-purpose, corrosion-resistant pumps
The Sandpiper models that work for paint processing are the Heavy Duty Ball (HDB), Heavy Duty Flap (HDF), Containment Duty (CD), and Standard Duty (SD) pumps. All of these units are safe, dependable, durable, corrosion-resistant single-purpose pumps that offer guaranteed performance. They are available from York Fluid Controls with bolted construction, easy maintenance, inline serviceable air-valve systems, and guaranteed diaphragm connecting rods.
Both the HDB and HDF models offer bottom discharge porting, thick wall construction, horizontal and vertical manifold connections, free standing bases, easy rebuilding, and heavy-duty wear packages; they eliminate settling solids, reduce downtime, and extend “MTBF”. The HDB pumps have weighted ball check valves and a solids range of six to 22 millimetres (mm), with dry priming for up to 20 feet of water. The HDF models have hinged flap check valves and a solids range from 25 to 76 mm, with dry priming for up to 24 feet of water.
From the CD and SD paint-processing pumps, users get top discharge porting, metallic and non-metallic construction materials, ball check valves, and 90-to-180-degree manifold connection rotation. Both models eliminate entrenched air and are portable and lightweight. Each CD pump has a containment chamber with leak detection and a solids range from six to 18 mm, with dry priming for up to 18 feet of water. The SD model offers a solids range from three to 12.7 mm and dry-primes up to 20 feet of water.
Multiple pump sizes can meet flow and head pumping requirements for most applications. An appropriately sized unit will reduce the consolidated initial investment, repair, labour, and energy expenses.
