L. & M. Precision Products Inc. is not only a top supplier of quality custom metal parts; it also continues to uphold its corporate responsibilities. As an essential supplier, L. & M. remains operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and strictly follows government safety guidelines and protocols in addition to long-established environmental and ethical responsibilities.

Establishing and remaining current to Coronavirus measures is just one example of how L. & M. values its ethical responsibilities regarding safety and the environment.

As part of these COVID safety guidelines, every worker and visitor who enters the L. & M. shop must go through a temperature check and fill a screening questionnaire. Social distancing is strictly enforced, and every individual must wear a mask over mouth, nose, and chin. L. & M. keeps common doors open and lights on in all areas, to keep workers from touching common handles and switches, and there are touch-free hand-sanitizer stations throughout the facility. In addition to these protocols, L. & M. encourages employees to conduct conference calls and Zoom meetings instead of in-person appointments.

Approved supplier of ventilators component parts

In the early stages of the pandemic, L. & M. was selected and approved to produce component parts for “made in Canada” ventilators. L. & M.’s engineering, production, and quality teams dedicated an exhaustive amount of time and resources to ensure that every component part was produced onsite and met or exceeded the customer’s expectations. This successful project was another example of how L. & M. can be versatile and flexible with any requirement in any industry for any event.

The L. & M. team complies and stays current with occupational health and safety laws, standards, and regulations, as well as environmental rules and regulations. It stays current with the requirements of the Workplace Safety Insurance Board, the Ontario Health and Safety Act, and the 2015 Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System requirements for Safety Data Sheets.

Another key ethical responsibility that L. & M. follows is keeping the natural environment free of toxins and pollutants. It stays transparent about its control of potentially harmful substances. The company annually reevaluates its use of materials and files a National Pollutant Release Inventory and ChemTrac report for any substances that meet or exceed the reporting thresholds. The federal Ministry of Environment’s Hazardous Waste Information Network has registered L. & M. for its liquid waste, which is being handled only by licenced and approved organizations.
