SafeTex coatings come in many varieties.

In Canada, over 42,000 workers get injured annually due to fall incidents. This number represents about 18 per cent of the “time-loss injuries” that were accepted by workers’ compensation boards or commissions across Canada (based on statistics from Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada, 2016). Statistics show the majority (67 per cent) of falls happen on the same level, resulting from slips and trips.

Minimizing slipping, tripping, and falls

SafeTex® solutions come with an easy-to-apply formula that adds solid traction to concrete floors, which minimizes the hazard of slipping and tripping while protecting workers from injuries.

• SafeTex® AS5600 Anti-Slip Floor and Deck Coating – a single-component acrylic coating that protects pedestrian-grade floors with textured, anti-slip surfaces in mild industrial or commercial settings. The coating dries quickly enough to accommodate heavy traffic after 24 hours. Rust-Oleum recommends it for metal or concrete floors, walkways, decks, and patios.
• SafeTex® AS5400 Anti-Slip One-Step Epoxy – for aggressive traction and labour-saving application. A single-component coating for moderate industrial settings, recommended highly for concrete or metal floors, staircases, and entrances. Can also accept heavy traffic in only 24 hours.
• SafeTex® AS6000 Anti-Slip Low-Profile Epoxy – a low-VOC, water-based coating for safer traction on barefoot-grade floors, formulated specially for wet areas on concrete surfaces. Can accommodate heavy traffic 48 hours later. An ideal safeguard against slips and falls; perfect for pool areas, locker rooms, showers, or laundries.
• SafeTex® AS9100 Anti-Slip High Performance Epoxy – for excellent protection and traction. A tough coating that resists strong chemicals, power cleanings, high humidity, and heavy vehicles in severe industrial settings. Recommended for slippery areas with heavy traffic, which it can accept 72 hours following application.
• SafeTex® AS6500 Anti-Slip 100% Solids Epoxy – an ultra-tough coating for extreme protection and aggressive traction. Withstands strong chemicals, power cleaning, high humidity, and heavy vehicles. Ideal for concrete or metal surfaces in food-processing facilities. This solution accommodates heavy traffic after 72 hours, as the AS9100 does.
