InstaPatch concrete repair by Rust-Oleum

For more than a century, businesses have benefited from the lineup of solutions available from Rust-Oleum® – including customers in this country through Rust-Oleum® Canada. While known best for its selection of protective paints and coatings, the company also offers various solutions for concrete repair, like InstaPatch® Ultra-Rapid Curing Concrete Repair.

Available in two colours, grey and tile red, InstaPatch® is a two-component, 100% solids Polyurea concrete-repair compounds that dries hard within 5-10 minutes and can withstand vehicle traffic after 30 minutes.

Applied by pouring or trowel

With InstaPatch®, users can quickly patch and repair damaged concrete floors. This is a versatile formula that users can apply either by pouring or with a trowel. This product can be applied in temperatures as low as -21°C which is great for extreme weather. InstaPatch® bonds well to concrete, wood, fibreglass, asphalt, and various other substrates.

For best results, the user should fill the crack to a slight excess and leave it to cure, then grind to a level surface. New concrete must cure for 30 days at 21°C before repairs are made. To prepare the surface, Rust-Oleum® recommends removing all grease, oil, salt, and other contaminants by washing the surface with Krud Kutter® Original Cleaner Degreaser, then rinsing it thoroughly with fresh, clean water. Users should remove loose concrete, as well as any contaminating oil or grease, then fill deep cracks with dry silica sand.

Before application, users mix both InstaPatch® components separately before combining them, then pour out equal volumes of each and mix them together for 20 to 30 seconds. This turns InstaPatch into an easily flowing liquid. Within a minute after mixing, the solution can be poured into the crack to a slight excess.
