Two kinds of Rust-Oleum Galvanizing Compounds

No other manufacturer offers the wealth of industrial paints, coatings, and solutions that Rust-Oleum Canada does. The company has 100 years of success behind it to back up its widespread reputation in this field. Its unsurpassed product portfolio includes some specialty products – including multiple types of Galvanizing Compounds.

Rust-Oleum carries the High Performance 7000 System Cold Galvanizing Compound in two sizes, as well as the V2100 System Bright Galvanizing Compound Spray.

With the High Performance 7000 System Cold Galvanizing Compound, users can instantly galvanize metal surfaces or repair worn or damaged galvanized steel. This coating contains 95% pure zinc in the dry film for the highest corrosion resistance. It protects and repairs bare sheet metal, galvanized ducts, storage tanks, and much more. Perfect for application in mild industrial environments, the 7000 System compound is a self-priming substance that offers top adhesion to galvanized metal.

With a two-year rust-proof guarantee, the 7000 System cold galvanizing compound is available in two different sizes from Rust-Oleum – 946ML and 3.7L.

The V2100 System bright galvanizing compound spray is a 93% pure zinc coating that allows the user to touch up and repair galvanized surfaces. Like the 7000 System compound, the spray version offers maximum corrosion resistance and excellent adhesion and durability on galvanized metal. The V2100 System can be used on storage tanks, fences, utility towers and more. Great for moderate-to-severe work environments, and it dries very quickly, in 20 minutes to the touch.

Available in a 566g spray, the V2100 System Cold/Bright Galvanizing Compound spray can withstand temperatures as high as 93°C. It adheres to all nationwide regulations regarding volatile organic compounds. For best results in large projects, Rust-Oleum recommends applying the spray with the High Performance Comfort Grip.

Both of these products meet the performance requirements of ASTM A-780-01 (par. 4.1.2, 4.1.3, 4.2.2).

In addition, both compounds meet the requirements of the USDA for incidental food contact; accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities.
