Rust-Oleum carries products for wet basements by two major brands

Floods, fire, and other disasters can have a devastating toll on businesses – and often, basements suffer the worst. Smoke damage and mould are among the dominant issues. Rust-Oleum Corporation knows this, so it carries a diverse and expansive line of products for protecting and restoring basements after such events. From flexible water blockers to mould remediation and stain removers, Rust-Oleum offers a wide selection under two brands: Zinsser and Concrobium.

More than 25 options available

Rust-Oleum sells more than 25 basement protection or restoration options from these two popular brands, including 17 Zinsser products. Some of these offerings serve as preventative means of limiting potential damage in advance, while others are intended to help fix basements after the damage is done. The following Zinsser options are available:

• Flexible water blockers. The Rust-Oleum inventory includes three Zinsser WaterTite products: Mould & Mildew Proof Waterproofing Paint; Flexible Primer & Finish; and LX Mould & Mildew Proof Latex Waterproofing Paint. Both paints work on interior and exterior surfaces and stop high levels of water pressure, while the primer has a ten-year durability guarantee. Also available are Zinsser hydraulic cement, etch and cleaner, and polyurethane sealant for concrete and masonry.
• Mould control. Zinsser Mould Stop Primer prevents odour-causing bacteria on paint film.
• Restoration. Options for restoring damaged basements include B-I-N Shellac Primer, B-I-N Advanced Synthetic Shellac Primer, Odour Killing Primer, and Perma-White Mould & Mildew Proof Interior Paint.
• Stain removers. Two Zinsser options: Cover Stain Primer-Sealer and Covers Up Stain Sealer Ceiling Paint & Primer.

Concrobium makes various options in the category of mould control. Concrobium Mold Control kills and prevents mould and mildew while eliminating musty odours without bleach or harmful chemicals. Also available: Duo Blast, which targets and removes tough mould and mildew staining with no scrubbing or rinsing, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Also available is a Concrobium fogger, which atomizes Mold Control into a fine mist for even surface application. Finally, Moisture Grabbers are high-capacity pouches that can absorb moisture of up to three times their own weight.
