Daemar has teamed up with Rotor Clip, a world-class manufacturer of retaining rings and constant section rings, to meet the fastener needs of its customers.

Rotor Clip stamped styles are available in stock from Daemar in inch and metric sizes, with dozens of standard styles to choose from. Some of the options include:

  • Axial retaining rings are designed for axial installation into machined grooves. They are used internally for installation in housings and bores, or externally for assembly on shafts. Once installed, they provide a “shoulder” for retaining parts.
  • Radially assembled retaining rings are radially installed into machined grooves on shafts. They don’t have lugs or lug holes, and do not extend as far around the circumference of the grooves as their axial counterparts. As a result, they can be installed quickly.
  • Bowed retaining rings are designed to compensate for accumulated tolerances in assemblies. Once snapped into the groove, they exert a force on the retained parts, which makes everything tight. However, they also act like a spring and offer give.
  • Self-locking retaining rings can be installed on a shaft or in a housing/bore without using a groove. They also come in small sizes for applications with very low thrust loadings. Most self-locking retaining rings cannot be easily removed once they are installed.

If Rotor Clip doesn’t have the exact retaining ring a customer requires, custom designs are also available. The company is certified to QS-9000 and ISO-9002, and is able to produce reliable, quality parts, consistently.
