Rotem offers Canadian-made industrial saws

Powerful and precise industrial saws are available from Rotem Industrial Products. The supplier offers E-R Maier industrial saws, including the HX Series horizontal pivoting saw and the KM Series gravity feed toolroom bandsaw. These machines are Canadian-made in Cambridge, Ont., and are known for quality.

KM Series

The KM Series is a vertical gravity saw that offers quality and performance, yet it is very economical. It can handle tough metal cutting jobs, as it is designed for dependability and durability. The KM Series saw is also equipped with many standard features, including a micro switch, reduction gearbox, removable tracks, stationary and swivel casters, ripfence, heavy-duty, all-welded steel construction, and more. These saws also have foot controls that keep the operator’s hands free.

The KM Series saw has a maximum cutting capacity of 305 millimetres in length and 254 millimetres in width. The speeds range from 76 to 363 FPM, and the blade size is three metres (10 feet).

HX Series

The HX Series horizontal cutting saw is the newest E-R Maier machine. It combines tried and true design with state-of-the-art features, including a digital read-out that displays proper blade tension, and automatic blade brushing. This prolongs the blade life and maximizes performance. Another feature is the quick-locking swivel cam with a built-in mitre scale. This enables easy and accurate angle setting up to 60 degrees. For increased safety, the saw is equipped with safety interlocks and an automatic stop feature if blade breakage occurs. 

The HX Series machines incorporate a powerful five-horsepower variable frequency drive with speed display that can provide blade speeds ranging from 40 to 350 SFM.
