Gorman-Rupp's GHS pump, from York Fluid Controls

York Fluid Controls supplies products by Gorman-Rupp Pumps, including the G Series of rotary gear pumps. These are the longest-lasting, highest-performing gear pumps available. Their intelligent design makes them easier, quicker, and more cost-efficient to service, and they are available in medium-, heavy-, and extreme-duty models.

The G Series by Gorman-Rupp comprises flexible, fully adaptable pump solutions that work for numerous industrial applications.

With a flexible seal design

These rotary gear pumps are constructed for maximum application flexibility, with exclusive design features that make them interchangeable with other manufacturers’ gear pumps. Such features include rigid rotating elements, automatic idler-pin lubrication systems, internal seal vents, deep end feed areas, a flexible seal design and back pullout design, adjustable no-leak pressure-relief valves, rigid pump supports, and multiple port positioning and configurations.

Three basic types of these pumps are available from York Fluid Controls. The medium-duty model serves as a flexible, economical solution for many intermittent, demanding tasks, such as hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, viscous liquids and polymers, and thermosensitive liquids. Gorman-Rupp produces two styles of these rotary gear pumps: the compact, close-coupled GMC, and the stub-shaft GMS.

The heavy-duty G Series units are the most capable, versatile gear pumps in the industry. They suit the most demanding clean-liquid applications, combining high-performance materials with innovative design. Both versions – the stub-shaft GHS model and the compact-stub-shaft GHC one – are available in cast iron, shock-resistant cast steel, or corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel. Suitable for a wide range of applications, including acids, solvents, food products, heat-transfer liquids, and more.

The world’s most rugged, wear-resistant gear pump is the G Series extreme-duty line. These are recommended for abrasive liquids, like paint, enamels, printing ink, diatomaceous earth, paper coatings, fish solubles, barium sulfate, wax, waste oils, filled asphalt, and titanium, iron, or zinc oxide. The extreme-duty models are built to survive the severe challenges of these liquids, with proven gear-pump technology and state-of-the-art wear-resistance processes. They are available in cast iron, with capacities up to 325 gallons per minute, pressures up to 200 pounds per square inch, and viscosities up to 250,000 SSU.
