Rosta Inc. has mastered several types of rubber-suspension technology, including oscillating conveyors, which allows it to manufacture a wide range of machine components. The company makes such options for oscillating-conveyor applications like universal joints and oscillating mountings, which are perfectly suitable for supporting gyratory screening machines, which are also known as gyratory sifters. Businesses frequently use gyratory sifters in grain and flour conditioning, pharmaceutical powder preparation, and the chipboard sector.

Made of welded steel structures

This equipment is distinguished by its circular screening motion, which creates a quick, full covering of the complete screen surface to yield high throughput. The right universal joints and single joint elements are available for customers who design hanging or upright sifters, for loads of up to 40,000 newtons and rotation as high as 380 min-1. Rosta makes two models of elements gyratory sifters: Type AK universal joints, and Type AV oscillating mountings.

Type AK is a maintenance-free elastic joint that can be moved in any direction, and it is recommended as a universal joint support for suspending or mounting gyratory screens, screening tables, tumbling oscillators, sorters, and screening equipment that is positively driven by eccentrics or freely oscillating with unbalanced drive. Types AK 15-50 have square aluminum sections, and AK 27 to AK 100-4 have SC iron housing. All other unit sizes are constructed from welded steel structures and have steel cores.

Also maintenance-free elastic joints, Type AV oscillating mountings are built to guide circular motions of handing screens, such as gyratory sifters and screens in flour and paper mills or chemical processing facilities. These mountings have rubber inserts larger than those in other Rosta elements, which allows intensive absorption of hanging-sifter vibration, as well as stronger protection for building structures and ceilings. All Type AV models are built from aluminum profiles; Type AV 50 has SC cast iron housing, while other sizes have cast iron aluminum housing.

The Rosta team manufactures these mountings with inner squares that are made of light metal profiles. These components are compatible with older units, as all of the dimensions are the same.
