anti-vibration mounts

Rosta's diverse line of anti-vibration mounts

A common issue with industrial machinery is extreme vibration. Unwanted vibration can damage equipment; it also causes loud noise that can cause noise-induced hearing loss in workers. Fortunately, Rosta Inc. has the right solution. This major technology company manufactures anti-vibration mounts to guard against damage and excessive noise.

Rosta rubber-suspension units dampen machine vibration by absorbing medium- and low-frequency vibrating, actively or passively, while accepting compression, tension, and shear loading. This function saves companies plenty in downtime and maintenance costs.

Six styles of anti-vibration mounts

Manufacturers can install Rosta anti-vibration mounts in any required position, even as ceiling or wall mounts, for many applications. Load capacities range from 20 to 2,000 kilograms.

Rosta produces six types of anti-vibration mounts:

  • Type ESL – Paint-finished element with housing and core made of light alloy with steel brackets, up to size 45. Can handle temperatures ranging from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius. Tearing off is impossible because of the mount’s mechanically secured principle.
  • Type V – Multi-directional damper with a light alloy core, steel brackets, and steel alloy housing. Can withstand temperatures from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius. Tearing off is impossible because of the mechanically secured principle.
  • Type N – This mount is equipped with swivel articulation to compensate for uneven ground. Recommended for air-conditioning plants, woodworking equipment, pumps, tanks, containers, transport systems, tooling machines, assembly-line equipment, and any other machinery that needs levelling.
  • Type Nox – Similar to Type N, but also food-safe, antibacterial, and corrosion-resistant.
  • Type Isocol – This efficient, self-adhesive isolation plate resists oil and chemicals. Built with three layers, the mount is fixed onto a floor or machine frames when the protective foil on both sides is removed. Users can increase the adhesive quality by wetting the plate with a nitro thinner.
  • Type Isocol U – Similar to Type Isocol, but with an extra cover plate built out of grey cast iron. The cover plate has a notch in the centre that enables the mounting of a levelling screw, but users can use the retaining edge for lateral guidance of the machine
