Rosta products are useful in a variety of industries

Construction, food processing, manufacturing and playgrounds are just some of the sectors Rosta serves.

For nearly 30 years in Canada – and nearly three-quarters of a century since the company was founded in Switzerland – Rosta products have been purchased and used by manufacturers in many different industries. Rosta supplies rubber-suspension products, oscillating elements and tensioners to a variety of different users.

The sectors

Rosta identifies nine different sectors that continue to use its rubber-spring products in Canada:

• Agriculture: Harvesters, hay bailers, tillage equipment, shaker conveyors, seeding equipment, and other general farming equipment are the most common applications for Rosta products. Many of these products are simple to install and have a long life.
• Construction: Among the construction machines that use Rosta products are mobile crushers, mobile screeners, winch drum controls, chain and belt drives, and vibrating compactors. Rosta’s anti-vibration products are particularly useful in compactors, chain and belt drives and crushing plants.
• Food processing: Rosta contributes its wares to vibrating and suspended screens, spiral and shaker conveyors, gyratory sifters, dryers, separation tables, and fruit/vegetable freezing lines in the food-processing industry. No routine maintenance is required for products used for gyratory sifters or for control screens and separation tables for dryers.
• Industrial/manufacturing: Road sweepers and vehicles, car-wash equipment, HVAC equipment, snow plows, large ventilation equipment, and other machines are among many industrial applications for Rosta products.
• Mining and mineral exploration: Applications for Rosta products include horizontal and inclined vibrating screens, rock crusher drives, vibrating feeders, impact tables, belt drives on screens, and slurry pump support. For sub-frame isolation for vibrating screens, Rosta promises a minimum of 96 per cent vibration isolation.
• Playgrounds and outdoor fitness: Rosta products are used in seesaws, outdoor rocking chairs and equipment, playground and park furniture, and fitness equipment.
• Recycling and waste management: Vibrating separators and feeders, separation tables, flip-flow separators, crushers, shredders, and conveyor-belt scrapers are machines that use Rosta products.
• Transportation: Among the applications for Rosta products in the transportation sector are air-conditioning and auxiliary drives, access platforms, vibration isolation, and general belt tensioners.
• Wood processing: Rosta products are relevant to such applications as shaker conveyors, gyratory sifters, chipper drives, transfer lines, and chain and belt drives.
