Rosta Inc. taking part in two major shows in 2018

Rosta is a major sponsor of Quarry Tech in Calgary.

As one of Canada’s leading providers of three types of technology – rubber suspension, oscillating conveyors and tensioning – for the past three decades, Rosta Inc. is an active part of the country’s industrial community. This is one of the reasons why the company gets involved in relevant trade shows, fairs, and congresses when it can.

So far in 2018, Rosta has made plans to promote its unique technological expertise at two upcoming major exhibitions in western Canada.

From Calgary to Vancouver

On Feb. 22, the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre near the Calgary Airport is hosting Quarry Tech, a one-day forum aimed exclusively for quarry and pit owners and operators. Rosta Inc. is one of the event’s main sponsors, supporting the forum at the Gold level.

Quarry Tech will consist of case studies and panel sessions by a variety of industry experts. Topics that will be covered include telematics, how to obtain quality drone data, crushing, washing, screening, water conservation, and dust control. Attendees will also learn about autonomous vibration monitoring systems, breaking bottlenecks with information-processing software, and the latest dust-safety practices.

Speakers at Quarry Tech will include: Alex Docherty, director of technology for Finning Canada; Dr. Hugh Davies, associate professor of occupational and environmental health at the University of British Columbia; and Michael McKenna, executive director of the B.C. Construction Safety Alliance.

Following Quarry Tech, Rosta Inc. will be one of more than 400 exhibitors at the CIM 2018 Convention, which takes place at the Vancouver Convention Centre from May 6 to 9. Organized by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, this annual convention is Canada’s top trade show for the mining industry.

This year, the focus of the CIM convention is “thinking differently” – about the sector’s challenges and best practices. It will include expert workshops, technical presentations covering 12 different themes, networking opportunities, and a large exposition of companies promoting their products.

Rosta will be occupying Booth 1533 at CIM 2018. Attendees are encouraged to visit the booth and learn more about the company’s unique products and innovations for the mining sector.
