industrial element technology

Rosta elements are trusted worldwide.

For more than 30 years, Rosta Inc. has been supporting manufacturing operations in Canada with state-of-the-art machine elements and components. These products are modelled from designs and innovations mastered at the company’s worldwide headquarters in Switzerland – which specializes in three types of industrial element technology: rubber-suspension, oscillating-conveyor, and tensioning technology.

The company produces world-class components that suit a wide variety of applications and sectors with its unmatched experience and expertise in these fields.

Focusing on each technology separately

To focus on each of these technologies separately, Rosta Inc. has been grouped into three separate divisions. One of these divisions is committed to rubber-suspension technology. The company produces a broad range of standard rubber-suspension elements for anti-vibration mounts and elastic torsion mounts, which are usually used for springing, damping, and supporting. Each of these elements can serve as a torsional spring, pivot bearing, and/or anti-vibration mount. Their features include pendulum suspensions for unbalanced motors, torque supports for gear motors, energy-absorbing impact suspensions, and torsional springs for constant surface pressure.

The next kind of industrial element technology at Rosta’s disposal is oscillating-conveyor technology, especially when it comes to oscillating mountings for producers of vibrating conveyors. Oscillating-conveyor technology is particularly relevant to free oscillating conveyors, guided shaker conveyors, and gyratory sifters. Suspension systems for free oscillating vibrating systems offers high levels of isolation and efficiency. Other product options include ones for circular motion screens, linear motion screens, and discharge chutes.

The third kind of industrial element technology, tensioning, is important to Rosta’s design and production of machine elements for maintenance-free tensioning of belts and chain drives. Among the variations are self-adjusting motor-base suspension initial tensioning of large belt drives and easily installed chain and belt tensioners for efficient secondary tensioning.

Rosta tensioning solutions eliminate the need for compensation of lengthening due to age or belt slip in machine design. Tensioner devices offer numerous benefits, like quiet chain runs, less wear on rollers and bearings, prevention of excessive slipping and overheating, accurate transport of work pieces, a cost-efficient substitute for pressure cylinders, exactly defined contact pressure, and durability.
