Although a book should never be judged by its cover, an effective logo can do wonders for a company’s international image and recognition. This year, Rosta is observing its 75th anniversary, which includes more than 30 years of serving Canadian businesses through its local affiliate, Rosta Inc., with top rubber technology. The company has taken this milestone as an opportunity to update its look – with a new website design and a fresh logo.

Identification on a global scale

To move boldly into the future, Rosta elected to look back into the past. The top rubber technology that Rosta developed in the 1940s – simple rubber spring elements for truck axles – has since become the industry standard. The company’s original logo design is based on the simple geometric form of these rubber-suspension elements, and it was used this year as a starting point for the proposals for the new design.

The Rosta team carefully considered a number of submitted designs. It was clear that the best choice was a refreshed version of the original logo image. Based on this logo, Rosta developed a new look that defines colours, forms, and fonts for the future, as well as other qualities. Not only does this design represent the Rosta brand’s 75-year heritage; it also adds a modern touch to take on the 21st Century.

In addition to adopting the new logo, Rosta has made some changes to the home page of its website. A new slideshow links site visitors to articles about the new logo, the different types of top rubber technology that Rosta specializes in, and more. There is also a new two-and-a-half-minute video that introduces viewers to the world of Rosta. Of course, the website still contains the same resources, product information, and success stories that customers have come to rely on for years.
