The RMF CMS in-line monitor from Wainbee

For solutions that offer high-viscosity filtration, the name to trust is Wainbee Filtration, a division of Wainbee Limited. The distributor offers great conditioning and monitoring solutions by RMF Systems, a Des-Case brand. A key example is RMF’s contamination monitoring sensor (CMS), which automatically measures and displays particulate contamination, moisture, and temperature levels in different hydraulic liquids. RMF has designed it specifically to be mounted directly to systems for space and cost savings.

Manual, automatic, and remote flexibility

Direct mounting of the CMS in-line monitor is beneficial in applications that require ongoing measurement or analysis and involve limited space and cost. The water sensor option for this contamination monitoring sensor measures water content with a capacitive relative humidity (RH) sensor, and the device expresses the results as percentage saturation. A 100 per cent RH reading corresponds to the point where free water exists in the liquid, so the fluid can no longer hold the water in a dissolved solution. The saturation point depends on the medium temperature, which is why the CMS measures temperature as well.

Each RMF contamination monitoring sensor comes with Windows-based software for users to download new results automatically as they are generated, if the test is complete while the software directly controls it. Alternately, users can download historical results from the CMS’ inbuilt memory, which has enough space for about 4,000 log entries; the memory overwrites the oldest entry when it is full. The log settings determine which tests are logged, and each entry is time-stamped and contains a unique CMS serial number, so users can identify it later.

Other features of this innovative instrument from Wainbee:
