When leading OEMs make products ranging from appliances to furniture, they rely on feet and bumpers from Bumper Specialties. The manufacturer offers protective products that are durable, high quality and easy to install.

Besides protection from bumps and scrapes, Bumper Specialties’ products can be used as spacers or vibration and shock absorbers. A broad selection of these products are available from Cords Canada.

Bumper and feet features

Products from Bumper Specialties will last, as they will not harden or crack over time. In addition, these products will not stain, mar, skid or scratch. The company offers a line of self-adhesive feet and bumpers that save time and money since there is no need for screws, rivets or holes. To apply, simply peel them off and press them on any smooth surface.

The bumpers are made from formulated polyurethane polymer that contains no plasticizers. They can be used in temperatures ranging from -29 to 60 degrees C.

Product details

The many feet and bumper styles available include hemisphere, square, tapered square, cylindrical, tapered conical, silent closing pyramid and circular depression. Cords Canada can supply these products with either rubber-based or acrylic-based adhesive. Rubber-based adhesive works best on low surface energy plastics like polyethylene and polypropylene, while acrylic-based is best for high surface energy plastics like acrylic, formica and polycarbonates. These bumpers can also bond to surfaces such as steel, vinyl, ceramic, aluminum, polystyrene and painted materials.

To obtain maximum adhesion when applying bumpers and feet, the surface should be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, dust and wax. Low strength solvents, such as isopropyl alcohol or Heptane, can be used to clean the surface.
