AMT Pumps’ line of coolant pumps are available in Canada from specialty distributor York Fluid Controls. The pumps, designed to recirculate coolant used to transfer heat away from a heat-generating device, are essential to the proper functioning of equipment in the machine tool industry.

The lineup includes:

• Interchangeable coolant/oil pumps: Designed for the circulation and spraying of coolants and cutting oils, these pumps are a dependable, cost-effective and easy-to-maintain replacement for units supplied on most imported machine tools. They feature semi-open impellers, which are ideal for handling some solids and fine contaminants. The impellers are available in stainless steel for added corrosion/erosion resistance and durability. AMT interchangeable coolant/oil pumps are available with ⅛- to one-horsepower totally enclosed motors with sealed bearing, in single- or three-phase models. 
• Bronze coolant recirculating pumps: These ⅜-inch pumps, made of cast bronze, are ideal for a broad range of industrial and commercial coolant and recirculating applications. They are available with a 115-volt AC single-phase or a 230-volt AC single-phase motor. The pumps do not have a bottom bearing, which makes them suitable for handling erosive liquids. However, the motor on these pumps is not meant to be submerged in liquid. 
• Heavy-duty industrial coolant pumps: Designed for a broad range of industrial and commercial coolant and recirculating applications, these heavy-duty pumps feature a cast iron casing and column. Various models have back vanes on the impellers to balance pressure, eliminating the need for mechanical seals. Additional features include a self-cleaning, semi-open impeller, single- or three-phase motors, or a ⅛- to ¾-horsepower totally enclosed fan-cooled motor.
• Vertical sealless sprayer/washer pumps: Ideal for OEM, automotive and industrial washing machines, parts cleaners, spray booths and cooling towers, these pumps feature a cast iron construction, a “no bottom bearing” design and a stainless steel impeller that resists erosion from abrasives. Combined, these features help ensure a long, maintenance-free service life for the pumps. Additional features include CNC-machined stainless steel pump shafts, a built-in stainless steel suction screen that prevents clogging and damage caused by large solids, and heavy-duty universal mounting plates that allow for easy installation.
