Parker’s P33T Series redundant safety exhaust valve meets the machinery directive requirements for safely eliminating trapped residual energy in a machine. Best-in-class features

An integrated soft start is one of the P33T’s top features. When a machine is energized, the soft start controls the flow of air, which can be adjusted for slower or faster buildup of system pressure. When the machine is de-energized, the unit rapidly exhausts downstream air and removes stored energy to allow safe access to the machine.

Other key features include the unit’s memory, monitoring and air flow control functions, which are integrated into two identical valve elements. Valves lock-out if asynchronous movement of valve elements occurs during actuation or de-actuation, resulting in a residual outlet pressure of less than one per cent of supply. If a reset is required, it can only be accomplished by the integrated electrical reset.

The valves can tolerate dirt and feature a wear-compensating poppet design for quick response and high flow capacity. Dual exhaust silencers are included with the valves, and optional transducers are available to monitor downstream pressure in the system.
